Role description
This person strengthens the impact of, and provides recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the company through the identification, definition and analysis of how information assets drive business outcomes. Responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for all uses.
Your tasks
Solution-oriented – in one or more specific projects:
- Define data objects & models supporting the processes & business requirements of the project (e.g. data model for physical assets, data model for real estate contract,…)
- Define integration patterns to fulfill data exchange needs
- Define reporting requirements & solutions
- Define solution architecture together with enterprise architect and enterprise data architect
- Define work packages to be taken up by the DDA organization for project realization
- Communicate clearly about the above-mentioned artifacts with project stakeholders
Solution-oriented – across projects:
- Define data objects & models across different projects and control there alignment during project execution
- Define impacts if projects are not aligned on data models and data management process (e.g. asset creation or decommissioning)
- Define cross-project reporting needs and define reporting / dashboarding / … solutions
- Align with EA and enterprise data architect on best ways to manage project dependencies on data level
Company-oriented – data management process & organization:
- Translate considerations from the project context to the data management process & organization level to increase overall company maturity related to data management as a business capability.
- E.g.
define a central data management role to manage asset data across the Asset lifecycle (from project to decommissioning)

- 7 projects (ongoing or to be started) where we see clear connections on a data level and which make a good basis for building a corporate way of working.
