About the Role:
We are launching a new consulting service that will focus on helping organizations unlock the power of AI & data while aligning with key governance frameworks. We are looking for a Data Governance Expert to spearhead the development of best-in-class governance strategies. You will play a key role in ensuring that clients maximize the value of their data while maintaining privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of data governance frameworks, ensuring that client data is managed efficiently, securely, and in compliance with relevant laws (e.g., Data Act, GDPR).
- Implement policies and controls around data quality, data privacy, and data lifecycle management.
- Advise clients on data governance strategies that support business growth while mitigating risks around data breaches and regulatory penalties.
- Conduct data governance audits and assessments, identifying gaps in current practices and proposing actionable improvements.
- Provide strategic guidance on data ownership, access, and sharing, ensuring compliance with EU regulations and aligning with clients’ business objectives.
- Stay informed of changes in the regulatory landscape, particularly in data protection laws, and ensure client strategies are proactive and forward-looking.
- Contribute to shaping our data governance service offering and help grow the team as we expand this venture.
Ideal Candidate:

- Deep knowledge of data privacy laws such as GDPR, and upcoming regulations like the Data Act.
