Location: 2 days Antwerp / 3 days remote
As a data engineer you collaborate with other data engineers & scientists to build out our client’s data products. You use your experience with big data processing, affinity with operationalizing ML models and overall software engineering skills to deliver software in an agile way.
- You are part of an Agile team (10 FTE) as a data engineer with 2-weekly sprints with a lot of exposure to business
- You’re able to pragmatically build the best solution for a given data problem (architecture, data model, data storage & processing services, …)
- You industrialize ETL jobs for data selection, you industrialize and maintain ML models, run monitoring jobs & extract data for KPIs & reports
- You help build & maintain the CI/CD stack & configurable infrastructure (TerraForm)
- You engineer the underlying datasets and make them available for our B2B Datalab web platform
- You work proactively as well as at the request of the business & product owner
- You continuously share and expand your knowledge with colleagues in the data engineering & data science guilds
Your key strengths
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Informatics with graduation option or first experience in AI
- You have several years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in a highly available and scalable big data environment
- Experience within an AWS stack (Codepipeline, Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, IAM, …), with thorough knowledge of Spark, Python & Airflow is a must
- Experience with TerraForm is a must, with Snowflake is a plus
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, MLOps & prior experience with ML Engineers and/or data scientists is a plus
- Experience with digital marketing and advertising systems is a plus.
- Team player!
- DevOps experience (set-up of CI/CD pipelines) is a plus. You build it, you run it.
- You are thorough, but also pragmatic (the 80/20 rule)
